My Morning Routine With Dr. Jerry - the First - 3rd Edition

Hello and welcome to the Third Edition of our Social Media Enlightenment Program #MyMorningRoutineWithDrJerryTheFirst

Our Guest:          Alh. Mustapha Yerima

In this Third Edition of the program #MyMorningRoutineWithDrJerryTheFirst a Social Media Enlightenment program anchored by Dr. Jerry - the First Oguzie, we met up with Alhaji Mustapha Yerima and interacted with him on the subject matter - his morning routine and if it has any bearing on how the rest of his day goes

Here's the detailed discusion

Anchor Person:   Hello Alhaji, my names are Dr. Jerry - the First Oguzie and I am here to meet up with you to record  our third edition of the Social Media program which we call My Morning Routine With Dr. Jerry - the First. We are trying to find a correlation between the way a day is started and how it eventually pans out. Our readers will like to meet you and then hear from you how you spend your morning hours especially between wake up time and leaving for work or other pursuits which necessarily is designated as Your Morning Routine

Alh. Mustapha:     "Thank you very much. Hello my fellow Nigerians, I am very honoured to be on this  program - My Morning Routine with Dr. Jerry - the First. I am Mustafa Yerima, a retired Civil Servant, Kanuri by tribe. I used to wake by 10 minutes after 3 every day. When I get out of bed, the first thing I do is to enter the convenience, ease myself and do my ablution to prepare for prayers. I then take out my mat and enter into personal prayers for an hour and ten minutes; thereafter I commence intermediary (intercessory) prayers  for another hour. And then I take a 45 minute walk around my neighbourhood. By the time I come back from the walk, I take my early morning black tea (no milk, no sugar) and then it is time to go to the Mosque for the first prayer. Coming back from the Mosque, I take a nap, then when I get up, I take my black tea again (I love black tea), take my bath and prepare to go out on a day I have an appointment, otherwise I remain in the house with my grand children teaching and educating them. That is how my morning schedule goes.

Anchor Person:     Thank you very much Alhaji for the brief. We would like to know if you have taken note of any positive or negative impact this morning routine has on the rest of your day?

Alh. Mustapha:     I have observed that the early morning walk, the early morning prayers and my black tea help me a great deal to be in good health and great shape despite my age. If not for my hairs that have all gone grey now, no one would really believe my age when I mention it.

Anchor Person:   It's great to note that. So what word of advise do you have for Nigerians?

Alh. Mustapha:   I would like Nigerians to develop the culture of having and executing a morning routine, it will be one great way to overcome the challenges of the times. So instead of complaining and murmuring all the time, Nigerians should get actively engaged in doing something to take their stress away

Anchor Person:     Thank you Alhaji for appearing in our program

Alh. Mustapha:     Thank You very much Doctor

Footnote:

Alhaji Mustapha Yerima retired from the services of the Federal Capital Territory Administration and lives quietly with his family.
