My Morning Routine With Dr. Jerry - the First - Maiden
Edition
Hello and welcome to the
Maiden Edition of our Social Media Enlightenment Program #MyMorningRoutineWithDrJerryTheFirst
In this Maiden Edition of the program #MyMorningRoutineWithDrJerryTheFirst a Social Media Enlightenment program anchored by Dr. Jerry - the First Oguzie, we met up with Dr. Ibrahim Wada OON and interacted with him on the subject matter - his morning routine and if it has any bearing on how the rest of his day goes
Here's the detailed
discusion
Anchor Person: Hello Sir, my names are Dr. Jerry - the First
Oguzie and I am here to meet up with you to record our first edition of our Social Media program
which we call My Morning Routine With Dr. Jerry - the First Oguzie. We are
trying to find a correlation between the way a day is started and how it
eventually pans out. Our readers will like to meet you and then hear from you
how you spend your morning hours especially between wake up time and leaving
for work which necessarily is designated as Your Morning Routine
Dr. Wada: "Thank you very much. I am very
honoured to be on this maiden edition of your program - My Morning Routine with
Dr. Jerry - the First. My Name is Dr. Ibrahim Wada, I'm a Nigerian
Gynaecologist and an Expert in Fertility and Invitro fertilization (IVF). I
practice privately these days, having had a long time span in the Public Health
Sector, but I am now a Private Medical Practitioner at Jabi (Nisa Premier
Hospitals) and Garki Hospital. It's a tough world in that sense to start a day,
so what do I do first? Normally I wake up between 5 and 5.30 in the morning and
when I stir on the bed, the first thing I do is to look to the side of the bed
where my life partner is sleeping and ask her if she's awake and alright; then
my mind goes to the activities of the past day and my expectations of the day
that has just arrived; rising from the bed, I do my morning prayers; thereafter
take out sometime for physical exercise which range from early morning golf to
Yoga which I undertake at the Nisa Wellness Centre - an International
Relaxation and Rejuvenation Centre close to my house.; after that, I jump into the shower and take a
relaxing bath and then get ready as the kids are getting ready to go to school
so that I can interact and bond with them before they leave and then it is time
to take the first meal of the day to break my fast (this is not regular though
because sometimes, I might be under a lot of work pressure that I skip
breakfast; but most of the time I like to take a bite before leaving the
house); while eating breakfast, I get briefed by my Personal/Special Assistants
on Meetings and Administrative issues to sort out for the day and also on the
work schedule for the day including special surgeries that I am scheduled to
carry out for the day. And then it is time to leave the house and go to work
(on the day I am to be at work) and this constitutes my morning routine. In
summary it includes - waking up and checking on my life partner, then saying my
prayers, then checking out the physical exercise to do for the day, taking my bath,
bonding with my kids, taking breakfast and being briefed by my Assistants and
then off to work, that's it"
Anchor Person: Thank you so much Sir for the brief. We
would like to know if you have taken note of any positive or negative impact
this morning routine has on the rest of your day?
Dr. Wada: Yes, I found out that the day I do some
sports in the morning, it energizes me throughout the day and I'm strong, I'm
able to concentrate, I'm able to enjoy my work, work faster and better and
generally more at ease; but the days that I don't find time to do the morning exercise,
I noticed that I get tired easier, get moody most of the time, get irritable
and irritated with little things that ordinarily should not need attention, I
also get hungry quicker; so yes the way your day starts is the foundation of
your day and I want to enjoin people to work out a good foundation for their
days
Anchor Person: Thank you Sir
Dr. Wada: Thank You and God bless
